My journey began as a teenager.
What started as curiosity became a lifelong path of learning, practice, and personal development.
Over the decades, I have had the privilege of studying under exceptional teachers, travelling internationally for training, and helping hundreds of students begin their own journeys.
Yet the most important lesson remains a simple one:
There is always more to learn.
Student First. Teacher Second.
Teaching is an important part of my life, but I have never stopped being a student.
The arts we practise are deep.
A lifetime is not enough to uncover everything they have to offer.
That ongoing process of learning continues to shape both my training and my teaching.
The Arts I Teach
At the Chinese Martial Arts & Health Centre, I teach:
- Classical Chinese Kung Fu
- Yang Style Tai Chi
- Chi Kung (Qigong)
Each offers a different doorway, but all point toward the same goal:
Growth through practice.
A Different Kind of School
When people visit for the first time, they are often surprised.
The atmosphere is welcoming.
The training is serious but supportive.
People encourage one another.
Everyone is learning.
That culture has been shaped over many years and remains one of the things I value most about the school.
Why I Teach
I have seen these arts improve people's lives.
I've watched students become stronger, healthier, more confident, and more resilient.
I've seen friendships form.
Challenges overcome.
New possibilities discovered.
Being able to play a small role in that journey is a privilege.
An Invitation
You do not need experience.
You do not need to be fit.
You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for.
If you are curious, that is enough.
The rest can be discovered through practice.
